VSCNU Shapes the Future of Work: Leading the Regional “Education and Labor Market” Strategy

On April 23, a delegation from Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University participated in the regional event “Education and the Labour Market: Social Partnership Strategy,” held in Ternopil. The university was represented at the forum by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Vitaliy Shkromyda, Head of the Accreditation Department Lyubomyra Iliychuk, and Head of the Human Resources Department Tetyana Mykytyn.

The event, organised by the National Qualifications Agency in collaboration with the Western Ukrainian National University, served as an important platform for constructive dialogue among representatives of higher education institutions, state authorities, and employers.

Within the discussion panels, participants focused on increasing the competitiveness of graduates through updating educational programs in accordance with the needs of the labour market, developing mechanisms for recognising learning outcomes acquired in formal, non-formal and informal education, as well as strengthening the role of qualification centres as institutions that ensure the assignment and confirmation of professional qualifications.

The participation of university representatives in such events contributes to deepening cooperation with employers, updating the content of educational programs, and ensuring that specialist training meets modern labour market requirements.

We thank the organisers for the high level of the event and the opportunity to join the professional discussion of current issues of education development in Ukraine.
