On April 23, a large-scale event dedicated to International Psychology Day was held at the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.
The event brought together students from various faculties of the university – philology, history, political science and international relations, pedagogy, foreign languages, and the professional college.
Joint participation created not only an atmosphere of cooperation but also a space for self-discovery and discovery of new meanings, where everyone could better understand themselves and see the multifaceted nature of others.
The event became an open and safe space for communication, self-discovery, and psychological support. Students were able to engage in practical activities without formal assessment, in a format of live interaction and trust.
The organiser is the Faculty of Psychology, which traditionally creates an environment where knowledge is combined with inner stability, trust, and mutual support, as well as the “Together with You” psychological support centre.
Galyna Fedoryshyn, Associate Professor in the Department of Social Psychology and Deputy Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the participants, presented the locations, and emphasised the importance of collaboration, knowledge, and mutual support.
A special feature of the event was that the trainers were undergraduate and graduate students from the Faculty of Psychology. They conducted art studios, psychological games, master classes, and training sessions, demonstrating the professional competencies they had acquired during their studies.
The event program included:
— psychological games “Glass Ceiling”, “Mind Games”, “Rejoice Together”;
— trainings “How not to burn out when deadlines are burning”, “About stress in simple words”, “Me and YOU: discoveries”;
— Self-discovery art studio (metaphorical cards, isotherapy, creative practices);
— interactive exercises “My Strong Thoughts”, “Resource Map”, “Tree of Strength”;
— psychodiagnostics and individual consultations for a deeper understanding of one’s own resources and states.
An atmosphere of trust, openness, and mutual support prevailed throughout the event. Participants had the opportunity not only to gain new knowledge but also to discover their own resources, share beliefs that help overcome difficult times, and feel the power of community.
