Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University is represented on the Map of Talent Hubs of Ukraine by the DeepTech Hub.
The Map of Talent Hubs of Ukraine is a national digital platform that demonstrates the strong educational, scientific, and innovative areas of activity of Ukrainian higher education institutions.
On September 15, an online meeting with representatives of higher education institutions took place. It was attended by vice-rectors for research and heads of departments working in the areas of activity of the Talent Hubs. Carpathian National University participated, led by rector Valentyna Yakubiv.
During the meeting, representatives of the Foundation of the President of Ukraine for Support of Education, Science and Sports presented the main directions of further development of Talent Hubs and outlined the next steps within the initiative. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive additional clarifications.
The meeting was held by Olga Budnyk, the Plenipotentiary Advisor to the President of Ukraine on the Foundation, and Yuriy Petrushenko, the Director of the Foundation.
The map unites 58 hubs in 22 higher education institutions and covers 65 specialties. The platform was created by the Foundation of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science and Sports together with Activitis Education.
The map helps applicants find strong educational programs, laboratories, and development opportunities, and students, graduate students, scientists, employers, and international partners find promising teams, research, and areas of collaboration.
The DeepTech Hub of Carpathian University belongs to the strategic cluster of high-tech industry. Its activities encompass advanced technologies, interdisciplinary engineering solutions, and the development of new composite and functional materials for energy, medicine, defense, and industry.
The Map presents the university’s educational opportunities in the specialties G5 “Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation and Radio Engineering”, G8 “Materials Science”, E1 “Biology and Biochemistry”, E3 “Chemistry”, E5 “Physics and Astronomy” and E6 “Applied Physics and Nanomaterials”.
The Hub’s research base is formed by the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science, which received the highest rating according to the results of the certification of scientific activity, the Laboratory of Nanotechnology for Materials Science, Energy and Medicine, as well as the Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment CNU-NanoLab.
The university profile also presents international projects, achievements of students and young scientists, cooperation with employers, double degree programs, and innovative infrastructure.
Participation in the development of the Mapa will contribute to a broader presentation of the scientific and educational opportunities of Carpathian University, attracting talented youth, and establishing new partnerships with business, scientific institutions, and international organizations.
