Valentyna Yakubiv participated in a roundtable on Ukrainian-American academic partnership

Valentyna Yakubiv, Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, participated in the scientific roundtable “Democratic Principles of Ukrainian-American Academic Partnership: From Shared Values ​​to Innovations”, which was held at the Carpathian National University.

The goal of the event was to foster dialogue between universities in the United States of America and higher education institutions in the Carpathian region on the mission of the academic community in wartime and in the context of post-war reconstruction in Ukraine.

During the discussion, participants focused on the American experience of academic partnership, the role of Ukrainian universities during the war, and practical tools for international cooperation.

In particular, the topics discussed were COIL formats, visiting lectures, and other modern models of academic interaction.

Among the participants were rectors of higher education institutions in the Carpathian region, representatives of the Ukrainian academic community, a delegation of US universities, and representatives of the United States’ diplomatic community.

The roundtable emphasised the importance of expanding international partnerships, enhancing academic mobility, and developing joint educational and research initiatives to strengthen Ukrainian-American cooperation in higher education.
