
Today, the rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Valentyna Yakubiv, met with the director of the charitable organisation “Virni Charitable Foundation,” Andriy Matiychyk.
The parties discussed and signed a memorandum of cooperation. It provides for the implementation of joint educational, social, and charitable initiatives and programs to develop the university community and support socially important projects.
Within the framework of the cooperation, it is planned to involve students and the university’s scientific and pedagogical staff in volunteer, practical, and expert activities. In particular, they will participate in charitable events, fundraisers, fairs, social and humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting the defenders of Ukraine and meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A separate area of partnership will be the holding of joint educational, scientific, and practical events – conferences, trainings, seminars, and other forms of academic interaction.
In addition, the parties agreed to develop and implement joint projects within national and international programs and to participate in grant initiatives.
The signing of the memorandum is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the university and the public sector to effectively implement joint initiatives and support Ukraine.
