
Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University improved its position, rising to 9th place among higher education institutions in Ukraine, according to the rating compiled from data in the international scientometric database Scopus.
The annual ranking, published by Osvita.ua, is based on the citation rates of universities’ scientific publications and their scientific and pedagogical staff.
The main evaluation criterion is the Hirsch index (h-index), which reflects both the number of publications and their scientific impact.
According to the results of scientometric monitoring as of April 2026, the university ranked among the top 10 higher education institutions in Ukraine, confirming the positive dynamics of scientific activity and the growth in international visibility of its research.

The position in the top ten of the Scopus ranking is evidence of the university’s increasing quality of scientific results, the rise in the level of publication citations, and active integration into the international scientific community.
The Scopus database indexes over 30,000 scientific publications and is one of the key tools for assessing the effectiveness of scientific activity worldwide.
