A working meeting with representatives of the British Embassy in Ukraine was held at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University. Svitlana Yavorska, Jasmine Bourne, Christopher Metz, and Volodymyr Marushchak visited the university.
The guests were welcomed to the university by Acting Rector Liliya Turovska.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to expand cooperation, identified common priorities, and summarised the results of previous partnership initiatives. One of the key topics was the implementation of the Twinning program between the University of East Anglia and Carpathian University. In this context, Finbar Carter, who regularly visits the university and participates in hackathons and student educational events, has been noted.
Special attention was paid to cooperation with the British Council. In particular, the topic was the implementation of the achievements of British Council educational programs into the university’s curricula.
These are the educational programs “Secondary Education (English Language and Literature)” and “English Philology”, which have already integrated modern teaching approaches, tested within the framework of international projects.
During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in energy sustainability were also discussed.
Volodymyr Kotsiubynskyi presented the concept of developing an energy-independent university infrastructure.
I wanted to let you know that the parties expressed interest in further partnership in this direction.
The meeting confirmed the interest of both parties in deepening cooperation, developing joint educational and innovation projects, and strengthening the university’s international integration.
