The Chairman of the Academic Council took part in the General Meeting of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine

On April 3, the Chairman of the Academic Council of  Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Ihor Tsependa, participated in the professional discussion held within the framework of the General Meeting of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.

The participants focused on the role of education and science in wartime and their importance for the post-war reconstruction of the state.

The President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician Vasyl Kremen, made a special emphasis during the meeting, noting that today the educational and scientific spheres are not only an environment for development but also a key tool for ensuring the country’s stability.

During the discussion, Igor Tsependa raised the need to rethink scientometric approaches, in particular to find a balanced combination of international assessment criteria and national priorities.

Special attention was paid to the humanities, where issues of language, culture, and identity are of strategic importance to the state.

Participation in such discussions confirms the institution’s active role in shaping educational policy. It underscores the understanding that investments in education and science are investments in Ukraine’s victory and long-term development.
