For first-third year students, there is an opportunity to study for one semester in Poland.

The next call for applications for participation in the student mobility program “Mobility direct”, University of Lodz (Republic of Poland), for the winter semester 2026/27 is announced.

Program description

For more than 10 years, the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University has been successfully implementing educational, scientific and cultural cooperation with the University of Lodz on the basis of a bilateral agreement, which, among other things, provides for the possibility of semester exchange for students of our university.

Financing

The University of Lodz provides free tuition throughout the semester. In addition, the university will offer students the opportunity to live in a dormitory for a fee (from 120 to 200 euros per month), subject to availability of places.

The total number of students who will be selected to participate in the exchange during the winter semester is 7 people.

Duration of the winter semester – October 1 – mid-February

Terms of participation

Students who will reach 18 years of age by September 2026, will be studying in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of the Bachelor’s degree program, and will have an average score (for the previous semester) of at least 80 points are eligible to participate in the selection for academic mobility.

To participate, you must have an international certificate confirming your knowledge of English at least at the B1 level. Also, on the basis of Carpathian University, you can prepare a document confirming the student’s proficiency in the required level of English, provided that this document is certified by a competent person (foreign language teacher). A sample of this document can be found on the website of the International Relations Department of the CNU (Sample documents – Language certificate).

IMPORTANT! Before submitting a package of documents, you need to make sure that:

1) Your specialty is represented at the University of Lodz;

2) Is the validity of your passport sufficient for studying during the semester?

Applicants who intend to participate in the program must, by March 31, 2026 inclusive, send to the e-mail address of the International Relations Department: interdep@cnu.edu.ua :

Scanned documents (questionnaire with the participant’s personal signature, certificate from the place of study, certificate, consent to the processing of personal data) should be submitted in one file in pdf format using the “Lodz_Petrenko” template in the following sequence: (1) questionnaire; (2) certificate; (3) certificate, (4) consent.

After the selection of candidates for participation in the semester exchange, nominated students will receive a registration link from the University of Lodz, where they will have to register independently in the electronic system of the University of Lodz, in particular, submit their personal data and choose study courses, approximately in May-June.

The minimum number of ECTS credits is 24, the maximum is 36 per semester.

Registration in the electronic system of the University of Lodz will be available from 01.11 to 30.11.2025.

Important!  After registering in the system of the University of Lodz, students selected for participation in the exchange must contact the International Relations Department to submit documents for international academic mobility. Important!  Upon returning to the University, a higher education student – a participant in the academic mobility program must provide the Academic Mobility Coordinator and the International Relations Department with a copy of the document, certified in accordance with the established procedure by the partner institution, with a list and results of studying academic disciplines, the number of credits, and information about the system for assessing the educational achievements of education students (certificate, diploma, transcript of records).
