
On October 9, the anniversary 10th All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference of Young Scientists Exploring Linguistics, Literature, and Intercultural Communication (ELLIC-2025) took place in an online format, organized this year by the Department of French Philology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.
The target audience of the conference was young researchers and students (more than 200 participants in total).
Eduard Lapkovsky, Vice-Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing that science has great potential in the future development of our country and is already forming the foundation for new discoveries.
Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Natalia Yatskiv emphasized the importance of scientific progress of young scientists in the philological field, namely in linguistics, literary studies, translation studies, and intercultural communication.
The moderator of the plenary session, head of the Department of French Philology Olga Bigun, presented reports by young researchers of the faculty: Nestor Bolshakov “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Linguistic Professions (Based on Microsoft Research Research)”, Marianna Pavlych “Imagological Discourse in Marie Ndiaye’s Short Stories “Trois femmes puissantes”” and Halyna Khariv “Linguistic Means of Representing Compassion in the Genre of Internet Commentary in German.”
The speakers’ speeches presented topical issues of philology, which sparked interesting discussion and debate.
