
On May 7, on Ivano-Frankivsk City Day, Valentyna Yakubiv, rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, was a guest on a joint live broadcast by the TV channels “VEZHA” and “Zahidny Pole”. The conversation focused on the university community’s participation in celebrating the city’s holiday, the development of innovations at the university, international cooperation, and new opportunities for students.
During the live broadcast, Valentyna Yakubiv spoke about students’ active involvement in city events and emphasised the importance of the partnership between the university and the Ivano-Frankivsk community. The rector paid special attention to the modern changes that are being implemented at the university today.
According to her, in the near future, new digital solutions for applicants and students will be presented at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University. In particular, in two months, a presentation on mobile applications for applicants, specifically adapted to the university’s needs, is planned.
“As part of digitalisation, we are preparing large-scale innovations that will become an important stage in the development of the university and help make communication with applicants even more modern and accessible,” noted Valentyna Yakubiv.
The rector also shared plans to create a broader environment for the development of student startups and youth entrepreneurship. She emphasised that today it is extremely important to build a strong economy, and that the university should be a space of opportunity for young people.
“We will create conditions so that students can launch their own startups and businesses, implement their ideas, and develop entrepreneurial thinking,” the rector emphasised.
During the broadcast, they also talked about the university’s international activities. Currently, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University cooperates with over 90 international partners and is a member of six international alliances. They also discussed the development of academic mobility, student support, open communication between teachers and young people, and the implementation of English courses for veterans.
The rector’s participation in the festive broadcast was another opportunity to present the university as a modern educational and scientific centre that is actively developing, implementing innovations, and creating new opportunities for young students.
