“University for You: A Space of Care” – a day that unites

On October 8, a landmark event took place at the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University — “University for You: A Space of Care.”

The initiative, timed to coincide with World Mental Health Day, has become a symbol of sincere dialogue, support, and creating a safe space for students.

The event was organized by the Faculty of Psychology, which has traditionally created an environment where not only knowledge is important, but also inner stability, trust, and mutual support.

Halyna Fedoryshyn, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Psychology and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, addressed the participants with words of support. She emphasized that caring for mental health should become a daily practice of student life — not a fashionable trend, but the basis of personal and social resilience, an integral part of quality education.

What was especially valuable was that the event’s trainers — leading art therapy studios, psychological games, master classes, and trainings — were undergraduate and graduate students. For them, it was not just participation, but an opportunity to demonstrate professional skills acquired during their studies.

Throughout the day, an atmosphere of trust, openness, and mutual support reigned in the university space. Participants had the opportunity to participate in trainings on sensory literacy, stress management, psychodiagnostics, individual consultations, work with metaphorical cards, art studios, and psychological games. All of this contributed to a deeper understanding of themselves and their own resources.

A special location was the interactive board “My Strong Thoughts”, where anyone could share their beliefs that help overcome difficult times.

We are grateful to everyone who was with us that day — teachers, students, psychologists, and everyone who is not afraid to talk about important things. Ahead are new meetings, events, and initiatives within the mental health support program. After all, hearing each other is also a science. And we are in it together.
