4th-year students of the educational program “English Language and Literature and a Second Foreign Language” successfully passed the international Cambridge exams and confirmed their high level of English proficiency – B2, C1, and C2 .
Behind each of these results is systematic preparation, hard work, motivation and responsibility of the applicants themselves. An important role in preparation is also played by teachers-mentors who help students determine their individual learning trajectory, navigate the requirements of the international exam, improve language skills and overcome difficulties on the way to the desired result.
Preparation for international certification involves comprehensive work – from improving grammatical and lexical skills to working with authentic texts, developing oral communication, reasoned expression of opinions, listening, and writing in accordance with international standards.
An important component of this work is the cooperation of the Department of English Philology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University with the Agency of Foreign Languages ”Runa” . The University expresses its gratitude to the head of the Agency, Natalia Dyachuk , and the entire team of “Runa” for the professional organization, coordination, and creation of appropriate conditions for conducting Cambridge exams within the university.
This year, the Department of English Philology received the status of a preparatory center with the corresponding ID and certificate. This opens up new opportunities for the systematic preparation of students for international certification and the further development of the educational and international activities of the department.
Starting in September 2026, over 40 students will undergo intensive preparation for international exams at the Department of English Philology. The program will combine the academic expertise of tutors with modern foreign language teaching methods.
International certification is an important tool for the professional development of foreign language specialists. It expands opportunities for further education, academic mobility, international communication, and professional fulfillment.
