Today, December 23, the last staff conference and Academic Council meeting of 2025 took place at the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.
At the outset, those present observed a minute of silence in honour of the Heroes of Ukraine.
Before the solemn award ceremony and the rector’s report, Christmas carols performed by the University’s Student Development Centre sounded in the hall. The festive performance created a solemn atmosphere and set the participants up for constructive and fruitful work.
This was followed by a solemn ceremony to award university employees for their professional achievements, many years of conscientious work, and significant contributions to the development of education and science.
Father Josaphat presented Professor Mykola Kugutyak with a certificate of gratitude from His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, the Supreme Archbishop of Kyiv-Halych and Metropolitan of Kyiv, for his many years of work on the creation of the monograph “Hoshiv Yasna Gora Monastery of the Mother of God on Yasna Gora in the Carpathians.”
University Rector Valentyna Yakubiv presented a certificate from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to Professor of the Department of Public Management and Administration, Inna Suray, and a certificate of gratitude from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to Professor of the Bohdan Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management, Victoria Stynska.
Diplomas of the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration were awarded to Professor of the Department of Primary Education and Educational Innovations Halyna Rusyn, Head of the Department of Primary Education and Educational Innovations Ruslana Romanyshyn, Associate Professor of the Department of Primary Education and Educational Innovations Oksana Kilichenko, and Associate Professor of the Department of Primary Education and Educational Innovations Lubomyra Iliychuk.
Honorary certificates of the university were presented to vice-rectors Yaroslav Shynkaruk, Ruslan Zapukhlyak and Serhiy Sharyn, associate professor of the Department of English Philology Olga Kulchytska, professor of the Department of Civil Law Ruslana Heinz, director of the international educational and scientific centre “Observatory” Myroslava Mylenka, head of the Department of General Psychology Viktor Moskalets, professor of the Department of Labour, Environmental and Agrarian Law of the Educational and Scientific Law Institute Zoryana Yaremak, and head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics Igor Kohut.
The Medal “For Merit to the University” was awarded to the Chairman of the Academic Council, Professor Ihor Tsependa, Associate Professor of the Department of Differential Equations and Applied Mathematics Anatoliy Kazmerchuk, Professors of the Department of Chemistry Serhiy Kurta and Ivan Myronyuk, Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics and Teaching Methods Volodymyr Pylypiv, and Head of the Department of Management and Marketing of the Faculty of Economics Mykhailo Romanyuk.
Additionally, the employees received paintings by the renowned artist and university lecturer Volodymyr Sanyuk as a gift.
