A meeting with activists of the NGO “Families of Heroes of IF” was held at the university

The rector of  Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Valentyna Yakubiv, held a meeting with activists of the NGO “Families of Heroes of IF”.

The meeting was attended by Larysa Stefanyshyn, mother of the fallen Defender of Ukraine, Vasyl Stefanyshyn, head of the public organisation “Families of Heroes of the IF”, and advisor to the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration on issues related to family members of the deceased. She thanked the rector for the invitation and the university’s expressed readiness for active and consistent cooperation with the families of the fallen Heroes.

The visit of public activists from the NGO “Families of Heroes of the IF” aimed to strengthen the university’s interaction with public organisations that unite family members of fallen Defenders of Ukraine.

By establishing such cooperation, the university promotes family activities and their adaptation to life in the community after the loss of a loved one.

During the meeting, various areas of further cooperation were discussed. The participants discussed the families’ requests, identified the first practical steps, and outlined possible points of contact – both in the field of communication and in the implementation of joint projects, with deep respect for the large community of families of fallen soldiers.

It was also noted that this meeting is a logical continuation of the university’s consistent work with various public organisations that deal with issues of honouring the memory of Heroes and supporting their families.

During the meeting, Larisa Stefanyshyn expressed her appreciation for the university’s work in honoring the memory of Heroes – from the time of the Revolution of Dignity to the present day, and also presented letters of gratitude to the university’s rector, Valentyna Yakubiv, and Tetyana Madryza, associate professor of the Department of Political Science, author of the book in memory of fallen university graduates “Names That Live Forever.”

Iryna Osipova, the wife of the fallen soldier, and Taras Lucsiv, the brother of the fallen Defender of Ukraine, also took part in the meeting.

Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University will continue to develop partnerships with public organisations representing the families of fallen Heroes, forming a space for support, dialogue, and joint action.
