
Today, the Acting Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Professor Ihor Tsependa, met with Volodymyr Pavlikov, Head of the State Research Institute of Cybersecurity and Information Protection Technologies.
During the meeting, the parties discussed areas of further interaction and signed a memorandum of cooperation between the university and the research institute.
The document outlines the implementation of joint initiatives in the fields of cybersecurity, information and communication technologies, and the protection of critical infrastructure. In particular, it was agreed on:

development of training programs, advanced training programs and professional retraining of specialists in the field of cybersecurity, telecommunications and ICT;

organisation and conduct of joint trainings, seminars and educational events for representatives of the public and private sectors to increase awareness and develop professional competencies;

development of professional standards and qualification requirements in accordance with national and international standards;

participation in the formation of mechanisms for independent certification of specialists – conducting qualification exams, testing, certification and assessment of professional competencies;

exchange of expert materials, methodologies, analytical developments and research results;

joint development or adaptation of online courses, electronic simulators, distance learning systems and other digital tools for the needs of the educational process;

Creating conditions for the realisation of the intellectual potential of the parties in scientific and technical activities, as well as promoting the use of achievements of domestic and world science and technology.
The signing of the memorandum marked a significant step in the development of partnerships between the university and leading scientific institutions in Ukraine, aimed at strengthening the state’s human resource potential in the field of cybersecurity.
