Representatives of leading European scientific institutions visited Carpathian University

Today, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University hosted a delegation of representatives of leading European scientific and research institutions.
The university was visited by:

• Ondřej Gradil – Head of the Research Infrastructure Department at Masaryk University (Czech Republic), coordinator of the project Research Infrastructures for the Future of Ukraine: Roadmap for Sustained Growth and Recovery;

• Ricardo Migueis – Head of the Brussels office of the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering (INESC, Lisbon, Portugal), researcher with over twenty years of international experience;
• Lyudmila Tautieva is a policy analyst for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), and the Center for Innovation Systems for the European Future (Brussels).
The guests were welcomed by the university administration, led by the acting rector, Professor Igor Tsependa, and the first vice-rector, Professor Valentyna Yakubiv.
During the meeting, Igor Tsependa spoke about the university’s modern achievements in the field of science and international cooperation, emphasizing the important role of the International Scientific Center “Observatory” on Mount Pip Ivan and the International Center for Meetings of Student Youth in Mykulychyn in the development of research infrastructure, international relations, and interuniversity cooperation.
During the conversation, issues of scientific infrastructure development, integration of Ukrainian universities into the European research space, and prospects for further cooperation were discussed.
Scientific presentations were made by:
• Professor Volodymyr Troyansky — “Research potential of the Observatory on Mount Pip Ivan”;
• Professor Volodymyr Kotsiubynskyi — “Open Science and FAIR Principles at Carpathian University: From Policy to Practice”;
• Associate Professor Volodymyr Shvadchak — “Transformation of Research Infrastructure at the Faculty of Natural Sciences”;
• Associate Professor Liliya Turovska — “Strengthening Ukraine’s research and innovation ecosystem: identifying needs and opportunities for cooperation.”
The participants of the meeting noted the high level of scientific potential of the university, its openness to international partnership, and its desire to integrate into a common European research space.
The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The visit of representatives of European scientific institutions was an important step in the development of international cooperation, the development of research infrastructure and the strengthening of the positions of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University as a modern scientific and educational center of the European level.
