Associate professors of the Department of English Philology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Inessa Melnyk and Kateryna Fomin, participated in the international educational conference EdYouFest Malta 2026, which took place at the University of Malta and brought together over 150 educators and English language teaching specialists from different countries of the world.
Inessa Melnyk spoke at the conference and conducted a practical workshop “Click, Create, Collect: Turn Lesson Ideas into Live Practice Sites.” During the event, participants learned about the possibilities of creating interactive online exercises for students using artificial intelligence without special programming skills.
Participation in the workshop made it possible to present modern approaches to organizing learning to the international educational community, demonstrate practical tools for digital interaction, and discuss the prospects for using artificial intelligence in teaching English.
During the conference, Inessa Melnyk and Kateryna Fomin also participated in plenary presentations and practical workshops with international colleagues. The participants had the opportunity to learn about current trends in English language teaching, exchange professional experience, and expand international professional contacts.
EdYouFest is an international educational community that brings together English language teachers around modern methodologies, digital tools and teaching practices. This year’s conference was held in partnership with ELT Council Malta and brought together plenary speakers and presenters from around the world.
The participation of lecturers from the Department of English Philology of the VSCNU in EdYouFest Malta 2026 testifies to the university’s active involvement in international professional dialogue, exchange of educational practices, and the implementation of innovative, in particular AI-oriented, approaches to training future specialists and teaching English.
