Representatives of the VSCNU took part in events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Weimar Triangle

On June 9-10, a working visit of the rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Valentyna Yakubiv, and the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and socio-economic development, Volodymyra Boychuk, to the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (Republic of Poland) is underway.

Participated in the ceremonial events marking the 35th anniversary of the Weimar Triangle.
The events included a debate on the role of the Weimar Triangle in strengthening European unity and security. Miguel Berger, Etienne de Poncin and Piotr Tondys took part in the discussion. The discussion covered current challenges facing Europe, support for Ukraine, and prospects for further development of cooperation among European states.

As a member of the Program Council, she participated in the sixth meeting of the Program Council of the European Centre of the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. During the meeting, we summarised the implemented initiatives, discussed the results of our cooperation, and identified promising directions for its further development.

During my stay in Lublin, I had the opportunity to visit a photography exhibition as part of the “Portrait of Polish-Ukrainian Friendship” project, held at the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University.

For Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, participation in such events is an important opportunity to develop international cooperation, establish new contacts, and join the formation of a common European educational and scientific space.

It is especially valuable that the discussions took place in a university environment, which, for many years, has been an important centre of international academic cooperation and support for Ukrainian education.
