
On February 24, the Academic Council held a meeting at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University. Traditionally, it began with a minute of silence in memory of the Heroes who died in battles with the Russian aggressor, defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
After that, the university rector, Valentyna Yakubiv, and the Academic Council chairman, Ihor Tsependa, solemnly presented awards to the university’s scientific and pedagogical staff and partners.
- For high professionalism and conscientious performance of duties during the scientific and technical examination, the Gratitude of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was announced to the Head of the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Volodymyr Kotsiubynskyi.
- For many years of conscientious work, significant personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists, and fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity, Professor of the Bohdan Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Lyubov Prokopiv, received the Gratitude of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
- For many years of conscientious work, exemplary performance of official duties, and high achievements in scientific and educational activities, the medal of the public organisation “All-Ukrainian Congress of Agricultural Economists” was awarded to the Head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation of the Faculty of Economics, Ivan Balanyuk.
- For many years of conscientious work in education, high professionalism and active public activity, Svitlana Dovbenko, an associate professor at the Department of Primary Education and Educational Innovations of the Faculty of Pedagogy, was awarded a Diploma from the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration and the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Organization of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine.
- The Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration expressed its gratitude to Volodymyr Zaytsa, Professor of the Department of Forest and Agrarian Management, for many years of conscientious work, significant personal contribution to the education and training of student youth and the development of natural science education and science in the Carpathian region.
- On the occasion of her 75th birthday, Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language, Faculty of Philology, Maria Golyanych, was awarded the Medal “For Merit to the University” for many years of fruitful scientific and scientific-organisational activity, significant contribution to the development of philological science, the formation of scientific schools, and the training of highly qualified specialists.
- For many years of fruitful cooperation, dedication to education, and support for the university’s initiatives, the director of Kolomyia Lyceum No. 9 of the Kolomyia City Council of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Hanna Pasichna, the head of the education department of the Otyniysk settlement council, Svitlana Burmay, as well as the deputy director of Kolomyia Lyceum No. 8 of the Kolomyia City Council of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ulyana Voloshchuk, were awarded certificates.
- For many years of cooperation and support in the training of students, the formation of highly professional personnel and the development of psychological science, gratitude was expressed to Volodymyr Semenyuk, General Director of the Municipal Non-profit Enterprise “Prykarpattia Regional Clinical Center of Mental Health of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council”, Tereza Stefankiv, Director of the Municipal Non-profit Enterprise “City Clinical Hospital No. 1 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council”, and Olga Boychuk, Head of the structural unit “Children’s Hospital” of the same enterprise.
During the meeting, it was also announced that Yulia Paruta was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
Activists of the Primary Trade Union Organisation of Students and Postgraduates of the University were separately recognised. For active public activity, significant contribution to the development of student self-government and high work results in 2025, Maryana Boyko, Andriy Koshka, Diana Ladchuk, Vladyslav Boyko, Liliya Bileychuk, Valeria Merts, Angelina Ivanyshyn, Olena Lonyuk and Yana Bezugla were awarded.
