Parents have the right to know in what conditions their child will study, who will be responsible for their child’s safety, and what real prospects the chosen educational program offers.

That is why the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University is initiating the Parents’ Forum — an open meeting for honest conversation without embellishment or advertising slogans.

Date and venue

January 31 (SATURDAY) MOPED Auditorium, 233 auditorium Central building of the VSCNU, 2nd floor (entrance from Chornovola Street)

Questions that the university will answer:

1. What will happen to the educational process in the event of a deterioration in the security situation? (offline, online, hybrid format, university capabilities and readiness)

2. Where will the student live, and are shelter conditions provided? (dormitories, accessibility, living conditions)

3. Who and how is responsible for the safety of students during airstrikes and crises caused by war?

4. Does a university degree have real value abroad? (academic mobility, international recognition, university brand in student exchanges)

5. What is the actual cost of training? (contract, additional costs, possible accompanying payments, extra-budgetary scholarships, benefits)

6. What to do if a student realises that he made a mistake in choosing a speciality? (transfer, individual educational trajectory, interdisciplinarity)

7. Does the university facilitate internships and training at future workplaces?

8. Who exactly teaches the students, and what is the level of experience and responsibility of the teachers?

9. What percentage of graduates work in their speciality?

10. Who can parents communicate with in case of problem situations?

The format of the meeting is an open conversation, specific answers, precise algorithms of actions, and the opportunity to ask questions directly to university representatives.

Forum participants will also receive helpful information materials for applicants’ parents.
