A working meeting of the expert community of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education was held at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.
The event brought together experts from the National Agency for Higher Education and Science and members of industry expert councils. It was dedicated to the exchange of experience and development of best practices in the accreditation of educational programs.
Rector Valentyna Yakubiv welcomed the participants and emphasised the strategic importance of developing a culture of quality in higher education, strengthening internal quality assurance procedures, and deepening cooperation with the expert community of the National Academy of Higher Education.
During the meeting, the participants discussed:
⎯ practical solutions in accreditation procedures;
⎯ typical challenges and successful approaches to preparing educational programs;
⎯ formation of a standard base of best practices for conducting accreditation.
Particular attention was paid to the role of the expert community in improving internal quality assurance systems in higher education.
The participants emphasised the feasibility of actively involving experts from the National Agency for Higher Education in internal quality assurance procedures, as well as the importance of systematic exchange of experience between higher education institutions.
As part of the event, a methodological guide, “Algorithm for Accreditation of an Educational Program: Step-by-Step Instructions,” was presented, developed at the university to support guarantors of educational programs and heads of structural units in preparing for accreditation procedures.
Participants provided constructive comments and suggestions for its further improvement.
The meeting was an essential step in the formation of a professional expert platform. It will contribute to improving the quality of educational programs and developing a culture of quality higher education at the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.
