Carpathian University has become a platform for discussing modern approaches to educational management

Today, a methodological meeting of the deputy directors for educational and methodological work at institutions of professional pre-higher education in the Ivano-Frankivsk region took place at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.

Over 20 participants attended the meeting. The university’s rector, Valentyna Yakubiv, delivered a welcoming speech to the audience. She expressed gratitude for the fruitful cooperation and emphasised the university’s openness to further interaction with colleges in the region.

Rector Valentyna Yakubiv and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Nataliya Belova told the participants about innovative approaches to managing the educational process in accordance with the requirements of Education 4.0.

In their speeches, they emphasised the need for flexible, strategic, and innovative management in modern conditions of educational development.

In particular, Valentyna Yakubiv noted the importance of systemic human capital management as a key tool for implementing the University’s Strategic Development Plan.

Natalia Belova emphasised that the Human Resources Department’s activities aim to foster a culture of corporate development, motivation, and security, create conditions for employees’ professional growth, and increase team efficiency. Such an approach is considered the foundation of modern university management and the key to the sustainable development of an educational institution.

Antonina Tomashevska, Head of the Department of Management and Business Administration of the Faculty of Management, reported on leadership in education.

“Today, the idea of leadership in general is increasingly changing: from dominance and control to service and support. The main function of a modern leader is to create an educational environment where the team can freely create, take initiative, and work productively. The leader becomes a facilitator of processes, creates conditions for the development of everyone’s potential, and encourages cooperation and responsibility. It is in such an environment that the team feels the value of its work, grows professionally, and together achieves high results in education,” noted Antonina Tomashevska.

The issue of branding in education was highlighted by Halyna Voloshchuk, Director of the Centre for Professional Career and Education. She presented the logic and stages of university rebranding — from Precarpathian to Carpathian National University.

“The brand of an educational institution is not reduced to a set of visual markers – a logo, a colour scheme, or the design of an official website. It is a deeper phenomenon that forms a holistic perception of the institution and its place in the educational space…”

The head of the methodological association, Vasyl Skrypnyk, expressed gratitude to the speakers for their meaningful, innovative presentations and fruitful cooperation.

The event organiser is the Centre for Professional Career and Education.
