On November 10, the world community celebrates World Science Day for Peace and Development, established by UNESCO to honour the role of science in shaping a just, safe and sustainable world. The same day is also celebrated as World Youth Day, a celebration of energy, creativity and the desire for positive change.
This symbolic coincidence reminds us that science and youth are two powerful forces that can change the world. Scientific knowledge is born from curiosity, bold thinking, and openness to new things – traits inherent in the younger generation.
