The first module of the training series “University of the Future: Secrets of Successful Management in Education” was held at Carpathian University.
The program is based on the example of the Academic Managers Professional Development Program, a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the World Bank, and the British Council, within which leading Ukrainian managers and experts in the field of higher education serve as speakers and trainers.
The first module, dedicated to the topic “University and Social Transformations”, brought together 86 participants – teachers and students, who worked in five teams. Representatives from most faculties and departments of the university participated in the training.
The analytical part was conducted by Valentyna Yakubiv, who outlined the modern role of the university in social processes and key challenges facing the educational environment.
In the practical part, we collaborated on tasks that helped rethink the potential of the units and identify points of interaction with the communities. Among the tasks were “Unit DNA” (identifying and valuing), VRIO analysis (assessment of strategic resources), and “We + Community = Idea” (searching for joint initiatives).
Iryna Pyatnychuk, Vitaliy Shkromyda, Tetyana Kornienko, Natalia Belova, Tetyana Hrynyshak, and Ihor Hurak carried out moderation and facilitation of teamwork.
Ahead are the following modules dedicated to strategy, personnel management, and finance in education.
