Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University has launched the “International Project Capacity Development Program” within the framework of the Winter School “Internationalisation of Higher Education”, organised by the Innovative University NGO.

The initiative aims to strengthen the university’s participation in international grant programs and to develop a project culture among scientific and pedagogical staff.

The first workshop on the topic “Erasmus+: Opportunities for the University”. The project management team held the event: the head of the department, associate professor of the Department of Finance, Tetyana Solodzhuk; leading specialists Nadiya Klykaylo, Hanna Okhotko, and Kateryna Fomin; and the leading specialist of the department, associate professor of the Department of English Philology. The participants gained a practical understanding of the possibilities of the Erasmus+ program, particularly in Areas 2 and 3, which offer new prospects for modernising educational programs, developing research, and expanding international partnerships.

Particular attention was paid to the requirements for preparing competitive project applications, the structure of grant proposals, and modern approaches to forming their content.

During the workshop, participants learned about the strategic priorities of European programs and the increasing competition, underscoring the importance of high-quality project preparation.

In particular, practical recommendations were provided on formulating clear, measurable outcomes, using quantitative and qualitative indicators, justifying the impact and ensuring the sustainability of project results, and logically structuring the project.

The practical block was dedicated to planning project activities, in particular using a Gantt chart to define tasks, results, and performance indicators. A separate element was an interactive exercise in the “Game of Senses” format, which added dynamics and depth to the event.

Participants had the opportunity not only to discuss professional challenges but also to rethink their attitudes towards project activities, identify internal motivations, and find new approaches to working with international initiatives.

This tool was proposed and provided by the team of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine. This format promoted open dialogue, exchange of experiences and the formation of new ideas.

The event demonstrated high interest in international project activities and the university community’s readiness to develop project competencies.
