On March 16, 2026, a university-wide student conference was held at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, during which several important issues related to the development of student self-government and the participation of higher education students in university management were discussed.
The conference agenda included: the election of delegates from among students to the University’s Academic Council, amendments to the Regulations on Student Self-Government, the report of the Chair of the Student Senate, Victoria Savchyn, for the period of her tenure, as well as the presentation of the programs of the candidate blocs for the leadership of the Student Senate – the Victoria Savchyn Bloc and the Denys Hlinsky Bloc.
A special part of the event was the debates between the candidate blocs, held in a dynamic, emotional atmosphere. The participants actively defended their positions, asked relevant questions, and presented their vision for the further development of student self-government at the university.
On March 17, a university-wide vote was held, with 1,615 students participating. According to the vote results, the Bloc of Victoria Savchyn received 987 votes, the Bloc of Denys Hlinskyi received 518 votes, 100 students abstained, and 10 ballots were declared invalid.
According to the election results, the victory went to the Bloc of Victoria Savchyn, which received the most support from the student community.
