VSKNU Hosts Seminar on Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine Funding and Grant Opportunities

On February 18, the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University hosted the “Traveling Academy” – an open educational event within the framework of the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 Program, aimed at popularizing cross-border cooperation opportunities among student youth. The speakers were Vasyl Khim’yak, Head of the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 Program in Lviv, and Olena Zubrytska, Senior Expert of the Representation.

The event was attended by students from the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, in particular the educational program “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies”.

The university rector, Valentyna Yakubiv, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of international programs for the development of university education, the formation of project thinking, and the involvement of young people in European initiatives.

During the “Traveling Academy”, participants learned about grant mechanisms and the philosophy of donor organizations, got acquainted with successful examples of development projects and the basics of the logical-structural approach.

Special attention was paid to practical work – students worked together to build a problem tree. The opportunities of the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine Program were also presented, in particular the Small Projects Fund under the priorities “Cooperation” and “Environment”, which open up new prospects for the implementation of student and university initiatives.
