The event was an essential step towards strengthening international cooperation and developing a common European educational space.
On February 16, during a meeting of the EDUC Rectors’ Council, several strategic decisions were made that will determine the alliance’s development over the next decade.
Key results:
– The long-term EDUC mission for 2026–2036 was approved as a strategic guideline for the development of the European university partnership.
– the integration of associated partners, in particular Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, into all key processes of the alliance has been confirmed;
– The implementation of a classical governance model was agreed to increase management efficiency and strengthen collective responsibility;
– The EDUC+2 initiative was discussed as the next stage of the alliance’s development in 2027–2028.
Special attention is paid to practical areas of cooperation that will directly expand the opportunities of students and scientists: the development of academic mobility, the formation of a network of doctoral schools, the support of young researchers, and the joint use of scientific infrastructure.
The university’s participation in such international working meetings is not only a partnership, but also real participation in shaping European educational policy, access to joint research, and new opportunities for the academic community.
Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University is consistently moving towards a new-generation university model – open, European-integrated, and future-oriented.
