Today, the rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Valentyna Yakubiv, took part in the program “New View” on RAI TV with Andriy Rusyniak.
They discussed the university’s mission in wartime, its development directions, science, international cooperation, and the role of higher education in the country’s reconstruction.
The rector emphasised that the university trains specialists with solid knowledge and a civic stance who, after the victory, will work on restoring Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the development of scientific fields, particularly in the natural sciences, which are essential for the future of the state.
Carpathian University demonstrates results in international rankings and actively attracts grants and extrabudgetary funding for research.
The university is expanding its cooperation with foreign institutions and scientific organisations, providing students and faculty with opportunities for academic mobility and joint projects.
An essential component of the activity is support for the military, including volunteer and moral assistance.
Modern challenges in higher education were also considered: youth outflow, updating educational programs to align with the labour market, digitalisation, and cooperation with communities and businesses.
The full broadcast of the program “New View” can be watched on RAI TV on Sunday at 8:00 PM.
