International Partnership: Hungarian Consulate and Paralympic Committee Visit VSCNU

A delegation consisting of the Consul General of Hungary in Uzhhorod, József Backai, and the President of the Hungarian Paralympic Committee, László Szabo, as well as representatives of the consular institution, the Hungarian Paralympic Committee, an interpreter, and journalists, paid an official visit to the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University. Also present was the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Ukraine, a long-time friend and partner of the university, Vasyl Vyshyvanyuk.

The university administration welcomed the guests – the rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Valentyna Yakubiv, and the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international activities, Liliya Turovska.

The visit program began with a visit to the university’s exhibition hall. The director of the exhibition hall, Bohdan Boychuk, introduced the guests to the creative works of students and teachers, spoke about artistic trends, educational approaches, and the role of the artistic environment in shaping the university community.

The delegation then visited the University’s Psychological Centre “Together with You.” Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Larysa Zagray, presented the centre’s activities, focusing on its support for students, service members, and people who have experienced trauma, as well as on the practical training of future psychologists.

The visit was another step towards strengthening Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University’s international ties and expanding partnerships with Hungarian institutions.
